Mr. CHEA Cheat, Chief of Phnom Penh Municipal Department of Education, Youth and Sports on the recent occasion of visiting the Modern Scientific Exhibition organized by Zaman International School in Tonle Bassac quarter strongly acclaimed this school.
He stated among the journalists that among all private schools, he observed that Zaman International School is the leading school since this school has effectively prepared curriculum both the Khmer general knowledge and English; for example, when he came to visit [the exhibition], he saw the great achievements that the school itself displayed for the guests to see.
He stated that the Department of Education, Youth and Sports has currently been developing good curriculum in conformity with the national-international standard. Especially with private schools, the Department of Education, Youth and Sports has effectively cooperated with and provided every possibility such as the case of transfer [of students] from private school to State’s school or from the State’s school to private school. Most importantly, the Department of Education, Youth and Sports always invites the school board of directors to receive some advices about a number of formalities in compliance with the curriculum of the State’s school.
Acclaimed a number of private schools especially Zaman International School that can develop good curriculum to make the students find it easy to understand. Moreover, the school has good environment and both the Cambodian and foreign teachers are well-experienced, which responds to the requirement of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
He added that the State’s school and private schools are currently the major partners in contribution to the development of human resources. Therefore, both partners had to find out about each other in order to get further experience. He thought that among all private schools, Zaman International School is the model and leading school. Like this year, every year Zaman International School always allows more than three thousand students from the State’s school to visit and to find out about the Scientific Exhibition that is the achievement of the students of Zaman International School.
